Caring for Your Dentures at Home

Dentures should be brushed inside and out every day with a soft, large denture brush and a denture cleaning solution rather than regular toothpaste, since toothpaste can be too abrasive and scratch the surface. When they are not in your mouth, dentures should stay submerged in water or a cleaning solution and away from hot water, which can cause them to warp. Checking your dentures regularly for wear and letting us know about any looseness right away helps prevent irritation and protects the health of your gums and jawbone.

This differs from a reline, which only adjusts the inner lining, since rebasing replaces the entire base material for a fresh, stable foundation.
