What kinds of dentures are there?
There are two main types of dentures available at Shelly Ereth Barone, complete dentures and partial dentures. Complete dentures, also known as full dentures, are shaped like horseshoes and are used to replace all of the teeth in your lower or upper dental arches. They are made from replacement teeth attached to a gum-colored base that rests snugly on your gums. When you still have some natural teeth remain in your smile, partial dentures may be suggested. Partial dentures fit around your remaining teeth and are often supported by a flexible metal framework.
